A Story of Wine and Legacy
In 1999, Danielle Andrus and Laurent Montalieu purchased an 80-acre estate in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA of Oregon’s Willamette Valley as an engagement gift to one another. They invited winery friends to contribute grapevines as wedding presents, and in fall 2000, the first 4.5 acres of Domaine Danielle Laurent were planted—fittingly named “The Wedding Blocks.”
The following year, their daughter Soléna Andrus Montalieu was born. Her name blends the ancient words soleil (sun) and luna (moon), and inspired the creation of Soléna Estate. The winery’s inaugural vintage was released in 2002.

Today, Soléna and Laurent work side-by-side to express the distinctive terroir of Soléna Estate, while Danielle remains a founder of the winery and a champion of its team. Guided by biodynamic farming practices, we continue to evolve our offerings, crafting elegant, balanced, and age-worthy wines—Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Chenin Blanc, Blanc de Blancs, and Cabernet Sauvignon—from our estate vineyards in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA and iconic single vineyards across the Northwest.
